The rates for FIT hotels are per room per night
and inclusive of service charge, tax and breakfast
as indicated or otherwise stated.
Hongkong
Rates are per room per night and inclusive of
service charge and taxes only. Rates including
breakfast will be indicated.
London
Apartments/Australia/Canada/USA
Rates given in Winter Tariff valid till December
2007.
Rates
are always reconfirmed at the time of confirmation.
ALTAIR SERVICES reserves the right to pass on
any increase in rates caused by the changes in
the suppliers' tariff and local/government taxes.
Child
Policy
A child below 12 years sharing a twin room with
two adults in U.K. and Europe is usually free
of charge. Please check with our office while
making reservations. Breakfast for the child must
be paid directly to the hotel.
In
U.S.A., a maximum of 2 children will be free when
sharing with 2 full paying pax. This policy may
vary in some hotels. All family plan policies
are based on pax using existing bedding in the
room. Free children will be determined by the
policy of each hotel as indicated in this tariff
in 'FP' column. EXACT age of all children is required
to make reservations.
In
Asia, child sharing bed with two adults in double/twin
room is usually free of charge.
Payments
All payments are to be made to our office in foreign
exchange, travellers' cheques or credit card from
the BTQ or LERMS collected by the client along
with the passport copies (including endorsement
page of the BTQ). Coins will not be accepted.
Apartments
A minimum of non-refundable amount of GBP 50 is
required for making reservations at an apartment.
20% of the total amount must be paid to us 21
days in advance to secure the booking, failing
which the requests will automatically be cancelled.
This amount can be paid in Indian Rupees as a
deposit. We must receive full payment 14 days
prior to arrival. For payments on arrival, we
will require the full amount in Indian Rupees
as a deposit.
Amendment
/ Cancellation / Refund Policy
Cancellation deadline in general for FIT hotels
are 72 hours prior to arrival date. If cancelled
within 72 hours, 1 night room charge will apply.
Some hotels may have specific cancellation policies
which will be indicated along with every confirmation.
Bookings will be released if not reconfirmed within
the time limit. It is better to check cancellation
and amendment policies with our office while making
reservations as policies may differ at each hotel.
Strict
cancellation policies apply for apartments and
fair periods in Europe. A cancellation fee of
GBP 50 will be charged if apartment booking is
cancelled after reconfirmation.
Cancellations
for weekend / Monday arrivals must reach our office
by Thursday afternoon. For
any cancellation you need to make at a time when
our office is closed or on a public holiday, the
request must be sent direct to the hotel with
a copy to us. We will not charge a cancellation
fee provided the hotel does not charge us the
same.
NO
SHOW - charges for one night plus any
additional charges by hotels.
In
Transit cancellations or changes :
Our suppliers will charge a fee of
USD 25 per room per night or per person per service
for any cancellation or change made directly by
the passenger while he is travelling, plus any
other charges made by the hotels or service company.
Refunds
Requests for refund should be made in writing
within 30 days after the scheduled completion
of the services. All refunds will be made in Indian
Rupees as per the RBI Regulations. All refund
requests are subject to obtaining a refund approval
from our suppliers and no refunds can be given
without this approval. The supplier reserves the
right to process and whether or not to approve
the fund request and if necessary, charge an administrative
fee. To expedite refunds, the client will have
to submit relevant documents as proof of cancellations
made / early checkouts.
GENERAL INFORMATION

We
reserve the right to substitute hotels of equal
or superior grade, if necessary.

Our
suppliers hold room blocks at hotels and release
names between 2-15 days before arrival. Hotels
may not be aware of passenger name should the
passenger want to reconfirm directly.

In case of excessive changes, additional communication
/ change fees may be added.

If cancellations are made directly with hotels,
the clients will need to provide the name of
the person who has auctioned the cancellation
and the cancellation number provided by the
hotel.

Bedding
varies from hotel to hotel but the following
usually applies : single room has one bed, double
room may have one large bed, twin room will
have two single beds. Triple rooms may have
three beds or one double bed and one single
bed.

It
is the responsibility of the client to check
the accuracy of the vouchers issued by our office.
If the error is not brought to our notice, resulting
charges / no shows will be billed to you.
UPDATES
Altair Services will periodically update the rates,
adding, deleting or changing information. UPDATES
will supercede any information given/printed earlier.
RESPONSIBILITY
Altair Services Pvt. Ltd. acts only as agent for
the passenger with regard to travel. Altair Services
does not manage or control or operate any transportation
vehicle, any hotel or any other supplier of services
and therefore, assumes no liability for injury,
loss or damage, accident, delay or irregularity
which may be caused by defect in any vehicle or
for any reason whatsoever, or through acts or
defaults of any company or person engaged in carrying
out the arrangements made for the clients.
